Your wish, as ever, is our command.
When a subscriber recently asked for the ability to email a page to a colleague, we saw the merits of the idea at once.
But the request also got us thinking... about all the other sites we've visited which allow you to email content... about our own site... and about how, maybe, we could bring a little bit of DACIS flair to the undertaking.
The result is our new DACIS FYI
service. Use it to email a link from any of our modules (even DM&A and DoD Budget) to the recipient of your choice. When they click on the link in the email, it opens up their preferred browser to the page you wanted them to see. They see exactly what you saw. Pretty nice!
And (here's the DACIS flair part) when your colleague visits the page, he or she will be able to use the same DACIS links which you've come to know and love. For a total of ten clicks, your colleague will be able to tool around the DACIS service as your guest, seeing and doing pretty much everything that you yourself could see and do.
And then, after ten clicks, it'll all be over, except for a gracious invitation for your colleague to get their own DACIS subscription (with which they'll be able to dazzle their own colleagues with DACIS FYI
We think you're gonna love it. And if you do, we think you'll also love the update to the email notification portion of our Profiles service. We'll be rolling that out soon, either late this week or early next week.
